Julie grew up in Boise, ID, and became a Vandal and Moscow community member when she came to the University of Idaho in 1980. She graduated with a B.S. in Marketing & Management, a B.A. in English, and a B.S. in Secondary Education. She and Martin Trail were married in 1984, and she taught for several years at Moscow High School before retiring to be a full-time mom to their children, Carli & Cooper. She became a bookkeeper during this time, and continues in that role for Trail & Swift Financial.
Julie started working part time in the office in 2012, and currently focuses on all things bookkeeping-related plus team support. She has been very active over the years in leadership and advisory capacities in Gamma Phi Beta, Chapter BH P.E.O., Palouse Patchers Quilt Guild, and Bridge Bible Fellowship. She is thrilled to live in the same town with her 3 grandchildren and spends lots of time with them. When there is extra free time, she loves quilting, reading, fixing great food, and having people over for fun times.
